About the Course

"A lot of cinematography is intuition.  It's an art, not a formula."

- Reed Morano

People always want to make their videos look "better," "more polished," and "more professional," but most of us don't know what that exactly means or why we care so much.  So, why is it so important?  Those are the questions I want you to ask yourself before starting this course.  Questions like:

  • Why do I want higher-quality videos?
  • How is this going to help the success of my videos?
  • How is this time/money investment going to help my business?
  • Does the quality actually matter or is am I looking for more reasons to stall?

I know some of those questions are intense and may take you in a different direction than you expected in a cinematography course but unless we know the why then the how doesn't matter.  Now that we've set that baseline...what exactly does a cinematographer do?  That's exactly where we're going to start in this course.  Explaining the depth and breadth of what is included in cinematography, we're going to give you guidelines on what will be helpful for you with your simple videos and what isn't necessary to work on.  Here is some of what we're going to cover:

  • What is cinematography and why is it important
  • How to frame yourself effectively
  • Camera angles
  • Lighting
  • Sound
  • Camera
  • Being effective with your BombBomb Mobile App

What you'll Learn: By the end of this course you will have the knowledge to understand why you would want to improve your video quality as well as basic principles to improve your videos without spending a dime.

Estimated time to Completion: 33 minutes

What you Need:

  • You
  • Your computer
  • Your camera
  • Your phone
  • Willingness to stretch your understanding
  • Desire to improve your videos in the Right way...not necessarily the way you thought.
